What to expect, step by step

  1. 1Free intro meeting. We start with a no-cost conversation to understand your business and see whether we are a good fit for each other.
  2. 2Get set up as our client. This is where we make it official and give you everything you need to work with us smoothly. As our client, you get a clear window into your engagement through the professional tools we use:
    • A dashboard where you can follow your project's progress
    • Simple invoices you can track at a glance and set your payment preferences for
    • One place for your files, your team's contact info, and updates
    Getting set up takes three quick steps:
    1. You take a short, free onboarding course that walks you through how the platform works, from billing to project tracking and communication tools, plus your rights as a client.
    2. You sign a simple agreement so we can get started.
    3. You get access to a Client Navigation course that shows you how to use all the client tools and project dashboards that help you manage your portion of all our projects together.
  3. 3Paid planning service, which includes:
    • Planning meetings. We discover and document what your business needs, in what order, and who can deliver it. You walk away with a detailed report of our findings and the plan we created.
    • Research and explore funding options. Together we explore what is available, what the requirements are, and what they might cover, then decide if and when it makes sense to apply. Funding is never guaranteed, but we help you put your strongest foot forward.
    • Proceed directly or prepare applications. Choose to self-fund projects, or we help you prepare strong applications.
  4. 4Finalize the work. Once you decide to move forward on a self-funded project, or once funding is approved from a grant, program, or sponsorship, we finalize your project agreements. Keep in mind:
    • You can cancel any project on 30 days' notice, and pay only for work delivered.
    • Most work is billed as it is delivered, and we never lock you into an ongoing retainer.
  5. 5Delivery begins. The team we assembled for you gets to work on your plan, delivering the services and training in order. Along the way we meet regularly to check progress, adjust as your business changes, and keep everything on track.
  6. 6An ongoing partnership. When a project wraps, we are not done. Each project has its own fee, but planning is an ongoing service: once your initial plan is in place, we keep generating new project proposals and pursuing funding as needed without charging for planning again. This is built to be a long-term relationship.
